ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Welcome to Nicole Dietz Art, where you can view my two main lines of artwork: Abstracts in Acrylics and Watercolors & Illustrations. With two different styles of work, I also have two Etsy shops where they can be purchased or custom ordered.

 

Most of my abstract pieces are available at my Etsy shop, Nicole Dietz Art. Primarily I use bright, bold colors and focus on trees, the ocean and birds. My most popular line of art, The White Series, originally began selling in 2005 and continues to be the most widely sold in prints as the original paintings are now in private collections. The next series, Bird on Wire, began in 2008 when I started creating smaller gallery pieces. Many customers, whether they purchased my originals or prints, reached out to me expressing their reasoning behind their purchase. I learned that the birds had become an homage to lost family members for some and for others the birds were representative of children spreading their wings as adults. My most recent series, The Buoy Series, is still evolving as I am working on several new pieces and color schemes in 2026. Influenced by a move to the East coast, I watch the local fisherman set their traps and use their buoy colors as inspiration.

Finally, in 2009 while creating artwork for my daughter's baby nursery, it was clear that the style was drastically different than my abstract works. As I played around with subject matter and song lyrics, I knew that work deserved its own focus and opened up another Etsy shop, My Rainy Day Girl.
